It was more than a decade ago that I put down my violin and the following year I started working at KFC. Now here I am, in love with my violin again. But this time I play for God.

It was more than a decade ago that I put down my violin and the following year I started working at KFC. Now here I am, in love with my violin again. But this time I play for God. I have the same violin I played at school, it is ’made for australian conditions’ and I now live in the UK, so I hope it won’t give up on me, longing for warmer weather. It has seen better days, the bow needs re-stringing and there’s a dent from when I dropped it one time all those years ago.

But it still makes beautiful music. I am no professional violinist, but by God’s Grace, the Angels will gather to hear the Lord’s music and compel his children to sing praise to God.

Music is a special and very important ministry in God’s Kingdom. I want to write in greater detail about the subject of music, but today I would like to share this simple message with you:

We can all sing and many of us play an instrument, but whatever you do with your music, do it from your heart and be conscious that you are playing for God. Even if you sing at home or you are a professional musician or at Church, wherever you are, play and sing for God because when you do, just as when you read God’s word out loud, Angels will gather to sing with you. Your spirit will be lifted and by the Grace of God you will know what it means to have the power of Jesus Christ resting upon you.
